The new redesigned 045F2 is almost identical in every aspect to the original 045F1, but with a now improved front standard which has two separate knobs to be able to control rise/fall and tilt independently
The 045F2 retains the famed asymmetrical tilts of the rear standard, key feature for applying Scheimpflug principle in landscape and architecture photography.
Both base and asymmetrical tilts of the rear standard are controlled by a single knob. This remains locked when not in use but when needed it can easily be unlocked with a simple twist of the fingers. This knob has a special pale grey coating to differentiate it from other knobs, making it easy to find and quickly add adjustments.
The design of 045F2 camera still has a wider base and narrow top of the rear standard. This profile makes the control of the base and asymmetrical tilts highly visible. The design also increases the rigidity of the standard.
The 045F2 brings a special ground glass with four dotted lines. Either in landscape or portrait orientation, an object placed on the dotted line on the ground glass will stay in focus as rear tilt is applied.
The dimensions of the 045F2 when folded are 208 x 182 x 92 mm ( about 8.2 x 7.2 x 3.6 in) The weight is 1600g (3.52lb)
The 045F2 has black finished metal and your choice of wood–either teak or cherry. It can be ordered with a standard bellows in either black or red, or a universal bellows in either the two colours as well.
