The 810V is a very rigid camera, weighting only 4,300g thanks to the generous use of carbon fiber material. In order to keep weight to a minimum, some of the less used movements have been eliminated.
Perfect for almost every occasion it retains the unique characteristics of the rest of the Chamonix cameras.
Its specially designed T-shaped base plate contributes greatly to the reduction of weight. An innovative idea drawn from the Chamonix principle of high quality and light weight.
Each of the wooden parts of the camera are carefully selected, crafted, hand varnished and polished by experienced craftsmen using traditional techniques. The use of carbon fiber contributes to giving the camera extreme rigidity.
Only a few master craftsmen are qualified for the final steps of construction so that each camera is another example of the unique features of the Chamonix line of cameras.
The metal parts of the Chamonix 810V view camera are anodized aluminum with black finish. We now use teak wood in most of our products.
